University of West Hungary comprising six faculties with profiles ranging from technical sciences to forestry and from economics to pedagogy plays an important role in the national and regional innovation activities. The Simonyi Károly Faculty of Engineering, Wood Sciences and Applied Arts (SKF for short) has a special place within Hungarian higher education. In addition to the nationally unique wood-related higher education SKF offers programmes in applied arts, industrial design and business informatics as well. These three areas – technical sciences, information technology and arts – do not merely co-exist, but complement each other to allow the training of versatile and competent professionals. The numerous national and international research grants and the many research assignments from our industrial partners demonstrate the reputation of our research and innovation.
The course was led by Professor Levente Dénes and the coach György Péter Horváth.
